Diabetes and seizures

Most people associate seizures with Epilepsy and brain damage. Well, seizures can be a result of several causes. Stress, accidents, brain damage, improper functioning of the brain, fever as well as low blood sugar. Some even seen links between the MMR vaccine and the seizures.

Diabetics can also suffer from seizures when the sugar level is too low. Some people suffering from Diabetes Type 1 can suffer from seizures. One type of diabetes that can be affected more often by seizures is the Brittle Diabetes Type 1. This type is called brittle because of the big fluctuations in the levels of sugar become almost erratic between high and low.

There are several ways to control these seizures. First, make an appointment with your doctor so he can do the following: put you on a special and equilibrated diet, adjust your medication level, get you physically active and get a proper sleep. When you look at it, it makes sense as the obvious message is: "Take good care of your body and it will take good care of you!"
